Mobile telecommunications service  provider, Airtel Nigeria, has launched “Airtel Steady Steady”, a new package that offers customers the flexibility to enjoy lower call rates by simply maintaining a healthy credit balance on their lines.

The new offer, according to Airtel  allows customers to enjoy a 25k per second call rate, with a minimum of N300 credit balance; 35k per second, between N100 and N300 credit balance, while a balance of N100 or below qualifies a customer to call at the rate of 60k/second.

Also, SMSs are charged at N5 for airtel to Airtel: N9 to other networks and N15 for International SMS.

New and existing prepaid customers can enjoy the service by dialling *450# to migrate.

Speaking on the new offer, the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director of Airtel Nigeria, Deepak Srivastava said Airtel has led the way again, in providing Nigerians with another product that is novel to the Nigerian telecoms market.

“Airtel Steady Steady” as the name implies, is well designed to reward customers who ensure they have reasonable amount of airtime balance in their phones. Moreso, the lower tariff is not restricted for only Airtel to Airtel calls but also applies to calls made to other networks.

“Nigerians are very social in nature, meaning that communication is a top priority to them. So with this new package, we are giving our customers an incentive to talk to even more friends, family, loved ones and business associates especially as the yuletide season draws near” ”, Srivastava   explained.

Meanwhile ,  Airtel Steady Steady is currently available to only prepaid customers.
