This is very bad for a popular artist like baba suwe, what is he looking for, doesn't he have enough money and investment from all the acting he has been doing so far to take care of himself and family? waoh he need to be dealt with severely to serve as lesson to others.

Popular Nollywood actor and comedian, Babatunde Omidina, aka Baba Suwe, has been arrested by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency allegedly with drugs concealed in his stomach.

The actor was arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos on

Wednesday night as he tried to board an Air France flight to Paris.

The drugs were allegedly discovered in the 53-year-old actor‘s stomach as he passed

through the scanning machine at the airport and he was immediately arrested and

detained at the airport.

He was said to have denied swallowing hard drugs and was subsequently put under observation.

The spokesman for the NDLEA, Mr. Mitchell Ofoyeju, confirmed the development.

A Nollywood actress, Hassanat Taiwo Akinwande, was caught with drugs in September

2006 at the same airport by the NDLEA and eventually excreted excreted 92 wraps of high-quality cocaine weighing 1.214 kg.

She was sentenced to three years in prison or N1 million fine on January 25, 2007.

Another Nollywood actor, Uche Odoputa, was also arrested with cocaine at the MMIA on

March 23, 2007 on his way to London and sentenced to eight months in prison.
