“At first an untrue source said one of the boys met the victim on the 2go social network and probably they later agreed to hook-up which eventually led to the gang-raping of the victim.
I have never seen a rape scene before but this is the first & one of the worse scene that I’ve ever seen in my life, it really pains me from within and i felt so sad and sorry for the girl. i bet there is no mother who would see such video without weeping.
The victim is a female student of Abia State University who was gang-raped by 5 boys from the same Abia State University exactly on Aug 16th(Tuesday) , 2011. Thee scene originally lasted for more than an hour on video which was recorded by the culprits themselves as they took their turn on their victim.
Originally she was said to have offended one of the boys whom she insulted and that’s why she was been punished.
The scene began with a fight-back from the girl which she unfortunately could not get any upper-hand, followed by series of beatings and torture from tthe boys, also giving her death threats if she eventually proves stubborn again. The girl already had cried her eyes out and was later pleading with them, it got to a stage where she had to beg them to be killed saying “you people should just kill me” , she also pleaded to them that her aunty would have been looking for her that she wants to go and meet her. One of the boys replied saying “e be like say you no know who i be, i’m an IT student and i will drop you off with my car”, she kept pleading both in Igbo and English language, one of the boys even threatened to lock her in the room and keep on raping her for the next two days if she failed to co-operate with them, still they kept on taking turns and changing positions on her while she kept begging to be killed that she can’t bear the pain anymore.
Names were mentioned in the video and unclearly if i’m not mistaken the names of the 5 gang-rapists were UCHENNA, ZAKI, IFEANYI/UGBAANYI, WISDOM and the last guy was CHISOM, one of them according to voices in the video is a 400level Law student and one of them is an IT student. Only the girls face can be clearly seen in the video while the boys avoided theirs in the course of recording.
This girl is an human beign like you and i, so why on earth must she be treated like an animal all in the name of punishing her, as at the time of my blogging about this incident i believe there is no more online link to the video of this rape as the matter has gotten to the highest power of government in the state, that is to the executive governor of Abia state who has ordered a quick investigation of the incident and arrest of the culprits.
This girl is a future mother of some kids, a future wife of somebody, i believe she has friends or anybody around the campus who in one way or the other may know these culprits, immediate reports should please be made to reduce the tension of this stigma from the innocent girl.”
The Rapists have been declared wanted: N200,000 Reward for Useful information provided to apprehend them
We all heard about the heinous rape of a young girl purportedly by 5 students of Abia State University. The supposed students made a video of the crime which eventually made its way to the Internet. People expressed outrage at the rape but few could do anything about it. So I decided to offer a financial reward to anyone who could provide information that would lead to the arrest of the suspects. A few other Twitter friends who were as incensed as I was are also chipping in. For the sake of their privacy, I won’t mention their names.
