Dont understand this post

the various religious festivities (christian, in this case)...are they godly? Is God really honored in them? If you trace or go down history lane to how this festivities were initiated, you would notice they have some pagan (ungodly) elements...Above all, they hardly have any scriptural backings..

Knowing that God seeks His people to worship Him in spirit and in truth, are all these things the truth? Christmas, Easter, Valentine etc...

Very interesting! I have long wanted to ask what roles carnivals and festivals have in religion be it christian or Islam? We cannot deny there existence, however, is it right to take part in them?

1 Thessalonians 5:21 has an important message to every child of God...
In addition, the answer to the question if it is right to participate in them,
2 Corinthians 6:17 speaks clearly...

I believe that helps...I had compiled a write-up on some of these festivities
and posted some on a facebook group... I moved them to one of my sites
which I am still developing...At the fullness of time, and by God's grace we
shall read some important truths very soon..

But I encourage every child of God to do what I did which is embedded in
1 Thessalonians 5:21....Not because it is a tradition or we were born to see
it that way, we then conclude that means it is right...The truth is only what
can set anyone free...Find out truths for yourself..

May God help us,,

christmas is the celebration of birth of Jesus Christ by christians always in Dec 25 of every year even though scientist believes Jesus was born around october while easter is the relebration of resurrection of Jesus from the grave.

For christmas, where in the Bible can you back up your claim that Jesus was born on Dec 25 or
the fact that there was any of such celebration in the scriptures. Most interestingly, can you show me any scripture where Jesus asked us to celebrate his birthday...Dec 25 (though not sure it is December as it is written ''on the 25th day of 12th month) can be seen in the scriptures but it has nothing to do with the birth of Jesus...

For Easter, if you go to where it is mentioned in the new testament (Acts 12:4-5)...it was during this period that Peter was put in prison so that after Easter, he would be presented to the people...My brothers and sisters, have you ever looked closely at verse 5...

"Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him."

Ask yourself this question: If Easter had anything to do with the Christ as claimed,
why didn't the 'resurrection of Jesus' or whatever of Jesus make meaning to the church?

Why did the
church then not go and celebrate it?...Was Peter's presence in prison more important than
the so-called resurrection of the saviour, Jesus?

That's just one thing the Lord opened my eyes to see last year...
There are many other points to help you know more that Easter is not a way to please
God...One of it is the origin of the word Easter and how the celebration
all started in the christendom... Do research for yourself..I will
stop here..

The devil has for long Used appetite starting from the garden of Eden and when it comes to christian festivities eating on those days over takes worship which would have been the major objective on those days. To me they do not make meaning any more.

Christmas is a great day for me. I normally spend it with my family members. Easter is great too, we remember the love Jesus showed us when he died on the cross.

Dont understand this post

What aspect? Could you be more specific about your statement?

The Bible says that God now seeks people who worship Him in spirit
and in truth. We all claim the definition of christmas and easter
respectively from the your definition above
but, is that the truth about
them? Forget what scientists are saying:

Are we really doing the truth?
