Tenancy at will is when the tenant is willing to pay his tenancy bill while tenancy at sufferance is when he tenant is forced to pay his rent

Tenancy at will to my own understanding is the present occupant of an housing apartment while tenancy at sufferance is one whose rent duration has expired and given quit notice by the landlord.
