We just need to believe in Jesus as our personal savior and love our neighbors.

Practical Religion: God will not do for you what He has given you enough Grace to do. You must take a step of faith to actualize your dreams after you have prayed. He heard you long ago. But you are still where you are as you have not mixed your faith with targeted works. God always honors His words! Don't be lazy!

Who is more Godly: the man who walks past a sinner who needs a drink of water and some bread to save him from dying and walks past him or a pagan who offers the sinner a drink of water and some bread to soothe his soul? Remember the parable of the good Samaritan? What do your neighbours see in you? A preaching wicked man or loving and caring neighbour?

As we step into a brand new year, we step into a new Nigeria, one that is poised to regain lost glory and to trudge on to greater heights. God will do what He will do to deliver this nation from the clutches of evil. We shall behold a new Nigeria where all of us and our children and our children's children shall dream great dreams and they shall be brought to fruition.

We shall witness the rebirth of authentic Nigerian creativity on all fronts. We shall use our votes to write a new story of progress, peace, purposeful and responsible government. We shall not hear of it from a distance. We shall witness it and bequeath a vibrant economy to our progeny. Nigeria will rise again. Her glory and her destiny shall no longer be toiled with. He will break the hearts of steel impervious to sound reasoning and he will shatter the prison doors of failure and release this nation to fulfill the very purpose for which He created it. He will clip the wings of evil men who stand against this nation. they shall be taken by surprise. Their propaganda for self-destruction will not fly and they shall be routed on all sides by the Most High. We shall know that He was here!

It is well with us all: Spirit, Soul and Body and from the crowns of our head to the soles of our feet. Stay blessed my friends - Fellow Nigerians! Happy New Year!

How did you fare in this outgoing year? Did you get it right or did you miss it? Did someone tell you you wouldn't make it? Did you think you were a real failure and the scum of the earth? Did you feel like you're filthy and no one cares? Then, this is for you. You shall not die but live to declare God's goodness.

You were created first to worship The Lord and to impact your generation in clearly defined ways. If you have not found the reason for your being, it's time to ask your Father in Heaven who created you and embedded the blueprint for your being in you even before your mother conceived you. Give Him the first day of the year! Worship Him! Adore Him! Thank Him! Praise Him! Then stay focused and steadfast. He will take you on a journey of discovery of who you are! If you have planned to booze 'shekpe' please, abandon that plan and make it a personal date with your mentor and the scriptwriter of the drama of your life. Don't miss this chance tomorrow. It's your chance to write a new song of victory and bountiful outstanding successes you'll achieve throughout the new year! Happy New Year Friends!

Practical Religion: Many are quick and readily to point to persons who engage in drunken revelry as candidates for hell. Little do they realize that gluttony (excessive eating) is also a sin with clearly defined consequences in the Holy books. Many more engage in gluttony than in drunken revelry.

In everything you do, moderation is the key. Even the food that you relish could send you to hell and could render you incapacitated when you over indulge.

Fellow Nigerians, brothers and sisters. Please beware of tendentious propaganda being spread by some unscrupulous elements to fan the embers of war in the nation. These are clearly trouble makers looking for an opportunity to destroy this nation. Disregard all those false and sham claims as they are clearly lies with a lot of holes in them.

The attempt to give the Jos crises a religious coloration is evil and the intent of the creators of the fake web site and the surreptitious commentaries are meant to cause disaffection between the largely Muslim North and the largely Christian South. Let's watch out for these elements. They are the real enemies of Nigeria working with politicians at the highest levels. Let's not fall for the antiques of these liars and sons of Satan who are out to destroy all that we hold dear: our unity and oneness as a people.

Government should act decisively to nip this rubbish in the bud.

These same set of people will most likely spearhead killings in some parts of the country making it look like it's their targeted opponents that did it. Report their activities immediately to the security agencies. Nigerians be vigilant. Evil men are at work!

It is not just The Truth, but The Truth that you know and live by that will set you free! If you have not learnt to say it just the way it is, then The Truth is not in you yet, you only heard about The Truth. The Truth is like fire in your bones. You cannot keep it within. You will never be comfortable until you say it!

Having a problem speaking The Truth? Then you are a religious person and not true worshiper! His Word says, "You shall know The Truth and The Truth shall set you free!".

I do not only wish you all a Merry Xmas but I also wish you love, joy, peace of God that surpasses all understanding, the power of God beyond what is normal and true freedom from ignorance in all it's ramifications - that was what Christ stood for.

I also wish you all Godly Wisdom to chart winning courses for your lives in the New Year and The Spirit of Excellence to make you and your products stand out distinctively above the others. God bless you all!

Practical Religion: Righteousness is doing what God expects you to do, when you ought to do it, where you ought to do it and just how you ought to do it. Even if the man who you condemn as a pagan does it that way, it will be counted to him as righteousness. While you pray, remember also that it is in the doing that the prayer is given life.

Some of us just fail to key in with God's purposes to do what is right even though He has generously given us the Grace to excel and exhale long ago! A lazy man cannot be righteous!

Christ lead a sacrificial life. He died that we might live. He was bruised that we might have peace. He had compassion on the multitude. If Christ is truly in you, you will defer to others. You will share your bread with the needy. You bring God closer to the people more when they see in you the sacrificial life of Christ.

It is not by the verbosity of your words lest you should sound like clashing cymbals. It is in bearing witness by your very life. Show someone around you the Christ in you. You could make a lot of difference in this world if you do.

It is not by how much of the Holy Books you can recite by rote but by how much of it you put to use in your everyday interactions and dealings that matter most to your making heaven or hell. You are either on God's side or the devil's. There's no middle ground.

If you choose to be on God's side, serve him well. Remember also, no amount of filthy lucre you bring into the house of God can bribe Him. He owns everything and even you!

If you fear death, you're not a child of God. Christ defeated death and took the keys to the gates of hell. If for the fear of death, you fail to stand for the truth you know no matter whose ox is gored, then Christ is yet to be birthed in you! Even if we die, we die in Him that we might live. Death has no power over God's children! It is just a transition to glory if you remain on the side of the truth!
