2011 will be bloody only to political officers who want to take office by fire by force.

@ Adebulu Taiwo, to answer the question raised, everyone stands to gain and loss. whatever the outcome may be, we would be affected directly or indirectly, but this does not end the unforetold story of the fate of nigeria tomorrow. Though the 2011 election is a do or die affair to some political contenders. As patrotic nigerians, let us be always guided by our conscience and let's know what is good for the general masses not the few selected individuals. We all has the right to choose who should lead and who should not; it is a collective decision not an individual decision that should be imposed on us. My candid advise to my fellow nigerians is that there are wolves on sheep clothing, let's be mindful of them not to be deceived; all that glitters is not gold. My beloved nigerians, let stand our ground, we have suffered enough aforetime and we cannot afford to go back to suffering again. Long live my fellow nigerian.

@ Adebulu, good write up, to me i just believe 2011 election will provide another era of disasters, military dictatorship, hardship and low standard of living with the same former military dictatorship coming back as civilian government ruling if we did allow them to win primary election, i beleive no credible political party will want to grant such former leader ticket to contest primary election but what if they found/form their party themselves? i believe civil and social group, human right activist should stand up against them.

When two elephants fight, the grounds they say suffer. When three elephants fight, the ground and the sky presumably suffer. But when four or five elephants fight, the whole nation suffers.
The 2011 election has so far been greeted with a lot of political diversity. Issues have been politicized, insults have been hurled at people, bombs have been detonated and propaganda seems to be the order of the day.
As the election approaches, elephants have stepped out from their domiciles to contest for the coveted throne. Those political commandos have pitched their camps in all nooks and crannies of the country devising ways and strategies for the polls. Some has resorted to violence, blackmail, libel, and shipment of illegal arms into the country.
As the political tensions of the country mount, the masses are short of words of the rising situation. No one can foretell what will happen next. With the polls drawing closer, it appears things have fallen apart, but the question we must not forget to ask ourselves is: who stands to gain and who stands to lose?
