As the countdown to the primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), enters its crucial stage, ex-President Ibrahim Babangida and three other presidential aspirants Friday raised an eight-man committee to present a common candidate among them for the 2011 poll.
The others are: ex-Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, a former National Security Adviser, Gen. Aliyu Gusau and Governor Bukola Saraki of Kwara State .
According to findings, the four aspirants reached a consensus after a six-hour meeting in Abuja. It was gathered that the meeting was the climax of about six sessions that the four aspirants have had in the last one week.
