JOB SUMMARY
Our client requires a Head of Project Control for a residential position based in Lagos, Nigeria. The expected duration of the service is from Q3 2010 - Q4 2014.
MAIN DUTIES
* To assist in the definition, establishment and organization of the ECP Department
* Using the company rules, DGEP/TDO/PJC Guidelines, Procedures and best work practices establish a set of Project specific procedures to cover the co-ordination and control of Project Control activities
* To control the preparation and review of the initial ECP Department budget and of its successive revisions and to oversee the constant monitoring of Project costs to record current status
* To co-ordinate the planning and progress control activities associated with the establishment and management of the overall ECP Department Schedule and individual contract Work Time Schedules
* To monitor and control ECP Department contract activities comprising identification of prospective Tenderers, Call for Tender preparation, tender evaluation and award and all post award contract administration through to contract close-out
* To control the internal and external reporting of the ECP Department to ensure appropriate content and quality of information and to liaise
* To provide the necessary human resources functions for and co-ordinate the activities of the ECP Department Team by informing, supporting and directing personnel in their roles, responsibilities and objectives
* Development and implementation, of the suitable document control system (PRODOM) to allow transfer, circulation, review, comments and archiving of all key project documents
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
* Must hold a Degree in construction and / or management related subject
* Professional Experience (number of years) : 20
* Experience of contract, cost and planning administration/control (number of years) : 15
* Must be fluent in French
