PDP and INEC na wa for una o. What are you guys talking about? PDP: 'We are not aware INEC was not in Yenogoa.' INEC: 'We have not taken a stand. The Electoral Act is clear. . .INEC cannot interfere in a party's internal selection processes.' Did the Electoral Act also bar the courts from determining issues related to such selection processes? Excessive lawlessness! INEC, we know your position already. You have chosen to do what is wrong even though you obeyed the court order. PDP officials acted in contempt of a subsisting court order which had not been vacated as at the time the selection process was conducted last Saturday. Accepting the result in defiance of that court order amounts to a decision to do wrong. We dey watch o. Mago mago 3 mush! Una no dey repent? Ojoro for everything. Una pikin dem must be olodo. Na soso wuru wuru to the answer dem go dey do for school. Like papa and mama like pikins. E dey una bodi. Everyone knows I cannot support Sylva. If you follow my posts, I have never minced words about his failure to deliver. However, what is wrong is wrong. One day, they will and extend it even to performing governors. Breaking the law flaggrantly for selfish ends is criminal. May be we should just flow with all the injustices then. Is that ok? That party's behaviour is unruly and embarrassing. This is very wrong. Shall we then begin to break the law because it serves our parochial interests to do so? That is an invitation to anarchy. It's a very bad precedence. The end never justifies the means. The constitution provides valid means of removing an erring governor. The president even shows staggering support for the illegal act saying the PDP had nothing to fear. As it were, there is no other way such massive movement of security agents could have been possible without Mr. President's approval. Did he not swear to uphold the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (and by extension all our laws)? Why set this precedence of lawlessness and illegal muscle flexing, especially for personal gains? Excessive lawlessness. That again amounts to wasting state funds in prosecuting personal agenda. Today, November 19, 2011, President Goodluck Jonathan and the security agents constitute themselves into a nuisance to the Bayelsa people and as law breakers. If any crisis erupts today or thereafter, the blame in all it's entirety stops at the president's table. This is another proof Mr. President is not an honourable man and that his initial pro-rule-of-law posturing was grand deception. As it stands today whatever primary is conducted in Bayelsa runs contrary to the law. Bayelsa people must rise up to fight this travesty of justice with all they've got in their arsenal and chase these law breakers out of the state. As at this day, the court order barring the primary has not been vacated and stands as the law in force. The INEC must not accept the result of today's mess unless they are errand boys to Mr. President and not truly independent as they claim. The constitution provides a valid means of removing an erring governor. Bayelsa people can vote Sylva out or he can bebe impeached if he has been proven to have committed an impeachable offence. Any other means is illegal. Mr. President is not conferred with such powers to break the law or to cause others to break the law. Post Merge: November 19, 2011, 01:13:29 PM
This public show of shame by the president and the security agencies is unwarranted and constitutes yet another waste of tax payers' money for selfish ends. Post Merge: November 19, 2011, 01:25:05 PM

Bayelsa people watch stupidly. But they know how to kill innocent people in the name of militancy. What a shame? Post Merge: November 19, 2011, 04:54:33 PM
By this act, Mr. President commits an impeachable offence as his action runs counter to the provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria that he swore on May 29 to defend and uphold. Post Merge: November 19, 2011, 05:03:55 PM
The president is also known to have committed other impeachable offences having failed to operate the nations's budget within the limits of the law. These shall be amplified soon.

The match between Psychological Disorder Pandemic (PDP) and Governor Timipre Sylva ended in a 1 nil defeat as the latter trounced the former in court. But the lawless party of common criminals and men of dubious character and means of livelihood says the primaries must go on inspite of the court order stopping it. But, I no sorry for Sylva at all, at all. He's been part of the rot and for all his crimes against the masses in Bayelsa in hoisting a reign of incompetence and disgraceful performance, leaving Bayelsa more rural than he met it with wanton bloodshed as his major achievement at the expense of performance, he deserves what he is getting. Na so Baba God go use una scatter and judge una sef. Yeye pipul dem. Mscheeeeeeeeew!

Poor Sylva! Axed by his party he struggles frantically for survival as his staying out of jail is dependent largely on his contesting and winning the next Gubernatorial Election in Bayelsa State. The poor guy was gagged the other day in handcuffs in Aso Rock but for the timely intervention of his peer governors from other states. This is one of the reasons staying on the side of the people by delivering on electoral promises is the proper and safest thing to do. No 'Jupiter' can destabilize you this way when you have the people behind you. Sylva, sorry o! Post Merge: November 15, 2011, 10:51:11 AM
Aw! Poor Sylva! Scared to go to jail? Aw! Aw!! Ouch!!! But will the new man be better than Sylva? Bayelsa youth - the ball is in your court. Make una look well o. Make una no make mistake again. Post Merge: November 15, 2011, 10:53:08 AM
I recall that Governor Timipre Sylva boasted on AIT late last month that he had been to Aso Rock and that he had the blessings of Mr. President. I remember wondering aloud if that was a valid democratic credential or evidence of outstanding performance for which he should be voted. Post Merge: November 15, 2011, 11:00:06 AM
What a shame? Sylva is leaving office disgracefully with absolutely nothing to show for all the monies he received from the Federal purse but which he clearly misappropriated. With such brazen record of incompetence, Sylva has earned a reputation as a monumental disgrace to this generation and to his children. But what I find most intriguing is that some other governors had not faired better prior to the last elections. Wondering how they managed to escape the PDP axe. I don't have to look too far. Sylva has bitten the fingers of the gods that be and must be punished. However this punishment comes, what is most important is that he is punished for years of incompetence he brought to bear and for mismanaging the fortunes of Bayelsa people. All the others will be dealt with in similar ways or by some other means at the appropriate time according to God's irreversible timing.

“Before the court ruled, I knew what the judgment was going to be; it’s something I can write from my Sankore Avenue here in University of Ibadan.” - Profe. Tam David West According to him, the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) and its presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari were frustrated right from the beginning of the tribunal’s sitting, first, by the removal of Justice Ayo Salami as the president of the Court of Appeal; secondly by not allowing the CPC to present more witnesses and lastly through the absence of the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jega. He adds: " Having boasted in an exclusive interview he granted The News magazine on May 23, 2011 that ‘we are ready for the tribunal,’ how come he travelled out of the country at this particular time. With his action, he no longer deserves my respect. He belongs to the set of Maurice Iwu. I had thought he would do better than Iwu but now I put him and Iwu in the same slot in dis-service to the nation. He should swear before Allah that his conscience was clear.” “They know Salami will pass judgment based on the law, so they forced him out. They even changed members of the panel, they corrupt the judicial system. If the court and the judicial system are corrupt, then the nation is heading for doom because any corrupt judgment is a potential for violence; without justice there cannot be peace,” he adds. Jega and his fraudulent INEC don come again o! I have lost count of how many DDC machines have gotten lost, exploded at the registration centres or have been stolen since the arrival of the sick machines whose over-inflated cost of acquisition caused some damage to our economy. Again, Jega and his INEC are telling us another pathetic story about stolen machines, over 1,800 machines in Lagos. There goes more evidence of electoral fraud that must be covered up. Finally, before the 2015 elections, almost all the machines would have disappeared and another whooping =N=87.7bn would be allocated fora sham exercise. What more evidence do we need of the fact that Jega is incompetent. Should adequate measures not have been put in place to ensure the safety of such critical national asset? What if they suddenly resurface in the elections in 2015 for the wrong reasons what with Jega's recent push for electronic voting? Jega is not competent to manage electronic voting. He clearly isn't!

The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja, dismisses CPC's petition against President Jonathan's victory at the polls for lack of merit. This is as expected anyway. Post Merge: November 02, 2011, 09:12:46 AM
“For anybody who has followed all that went into this case, how the presiding chairman who was the President of the Court of Appeal was removed while the case was on, how the panel was reconstituted and how the new panel started to castrate the case by reversing the order that the party be allowed to carry out a forensic examination of the ballot papers, vacating the order that the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Athahiru Jega should appear before the tribunal; anybody that has followed all that went into the making of this case, will not be surprised that we have arrived at this juncture.” This is the only country we have and we will not run away from the country. “In the battle between righteousness and evil, evil may triumph momentarily, but on the long run, righteousness will triumph fortunately. And the forces of good will have the ultimate laugh over the forces of evil.” General Muhammadu Buhari, Presidential Candidate of the CPC in the 2011 Presidential Elections. http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/news/national/2011/nov/02/national-02-11-2011-007.html Post Merge: November 02, 2011, 09:16:42 AM
Justice was clearly not done. Justice was clearly denied. Generally, voters, mostly youths did not turn out in large numbers for the elections. Many preferred to play football alleging that they were not interested in Local Government issues as the Local Governments have failed to deliver over the years. This is the greatest disservice Nigerian youths have done to themselves as the Local Government is the centre of actions that cause under-development. If we must move this nation forward, Nigerians from all walks of life must begin to show serious interest in the activities of Local Government Chairmen, Secretaries and Councillors. They must be held accountable.

My good friend Seyi wirtes and aptly too: "If you live in Lagos and you complain about bad governance, bad roads, bad transportation etc, and yet you refuse to vote in today's LG elections, then you must be mother of all hypocrites. Make no mistake if you do not understand the dynamics of your LG administration, you do NOT have any business criticising the state or federal govt. If the 774 LGs in Nigeria perform 50% of their statutory function, Nigeria will be in no doubt on the path of greatness. Corruption does not start and end in Abuja, hold your Local Government leaders accountable!" Post Merge: October 22, 2011, 03:18:39 PM

The labour of our heroes past shall not be in vain!' So says our national anthem. We also say 'that the labour of all Nigerians alive on this planet shall not be in vain!' Will our children and our children's children say that of us also? We cannot continue to allow our collective heritage to be plundered by those we did not choose. Let us own the processes by which we select our leaders. We may not all have avenues to voice our opinions in the papers, but we are free to do so online. Make your voice heard. Make your impact felt to the maximum to salvage what is left of our collective heritage. History calls on all of us to do the needful. We cannot continue to beg off or to chicken out. Nigeria belongs to us all. Let us eschew all those sentiments that divide us. Let every Nigerian of voting age come out and register and vote for candidates of their choice. At the polling units, do not allow yourself to be intimidated. It is our duty to guard our collective will expressed by voting jealously until the result at the station is declared. Those who try to intimidate you are not more powerful than the entire community of voters. Take discreet pictures and videos of the goings on and send them instantly. do voice recordings. Ensure that you have the phone numbers of your local DPO's, your Area Commander and the Commissioner of Police as well as that of your Electoral Commissioner for the state where you are resident. You may also wish to have the phone number of the GOC of the Army formation in your state as well as that of the Director of SSS in your state. Make these numbers handly and call them up as soon as you notice the first sign of trouble. Make those numbers available on this forum. Let us inaundate them with calls and e-mails. Even if they do not respond, let it be a witness against them. Record your conversations with these people and send it. We owe it to ourselves and to posterity to do it right. We have no excuse not to make it work to the Glory of God Almighty to whom we shall one day give an account of our stewardship. Great Nigerians: mothers, fathers, children, professionals, artesans, students, politicians, members of the armed forces - our duty is to Nigeria first and then to our future generations and to ourselves. We cannot afford to let ourselves down! Free , fair and credible elections is a right and not a luxury! Let us do the needful to ensure this happens now instead of waiting to complain later. God be with us all. Post Merge: October 22, 2011, 03:37:50 PM
That was the message we posted in our group's page (Nationwide e-Election Monitor) on Facebook that sparked off a revolution in the 2011 Presidential, Gubernatorial and parliamentary Elections in Nigeria.

On what basis are Local Government Elections being conducted all over the nation? Is it still with Jega's concocted Voters' Register? Nothing good can come out of a fraudulent document. It is classical '419'.

Jega does not have the guts to tender the disgusting fake Voters' Register in court for obvious reasons. It's full of manufactured figures from personal projections in the frenzy to manipulate the electoral process at all costs. Coming up with a new series with special focus on evolving a veritable and highly efficient and fraud free electoral process for our fatherland. It is achievable. Nigerians only need to wake up and take their place as the true architects of their future and not a self-selected colony of lunatics who impose themselves on the people.

PRESS RELEASE For Immediate Release NIGERIAN YOUTH DEMOCRACY MEMORIAL LECTURE Celebrating the Heroes and Martyrs of the 2011 Elections Theme: Youth & Election Security: Setting Benchmarks for safety Monday, 5th September 2011. Abuja, Nigeria - Despite, the electoral violence which greeted the end of the Presidential elections in some parts of Nigeria, the 2011 general elections has been acclaimed to be the freest and fairest in the history of Nigerian elections. The success of the 2011 elections was largely attributed to the demonstration of an encouraging level of patriotism, neutrality and honesty in the conduct of the elections by the National Youth Service Corp members. This program is organized in recognition of the immense contributions of the members of National Youth Service Corp members to what is being adjudged, both nationally and internationally, as a watershed in the Nigerian electoral process. The objective of the Memorial Lecture is to recognize and appreciate the contributions of NYSC members especially those killed in the post election violence while on national election duty. The event will also stimulate discourse on preservation of the involvement of NYSC members in subsequent elections while fostering electoral accountability for social justice. The Annual Nigerian Youth Democracy Memorial Lecture will bring together key stakeholders within the democratic process to deliberate on appropriate tools and mechanisms for addressing election security and electoral violence. The discussions will be situated within the need to set benchmarks for safety of electoral officials especially the youth engaged in the conduct of elections.
