CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

LOCATION: ALAUSA, IKEJA, LAGOS STATE
RELATIONSHIP
• The Chief Financial Officer will report to the CEO and have overall responsibility for the financial operations of the company,
JOB DESCRIPTION
• He will be responsible for the establishment and maintenance of appropriate financial management framework to support the corporate objectives of the company.
• Develop and sustain systems and procedures for maintaining proper financial records and adequate accounting controls,
• Prepare capital and operating budgets and present same to Board for approval.
• From time to time, assess the financial needs of the company, and develop the strategic framework for meeting those needs on the short and long term bases.
• Initiate and develop the strategic planning of the company.
• Oversee the preparation of periodic financial and management reports,
• Manage relationships with all stakeholders including financial institutions, regulatory authorities, auditors etc.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• A good first degree in Economics, Business Administration or Social Sciences from a reputable university.
• Membership of Professional accounting institutes e.g. ICAN.
• A minimum of 10 years post qualification experience of which 5 must be in a senior position.
• Must be between 40 and 45 years old.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills especially with international financial organizations such as IFC, ADB etc and in dealing with auditors,
• Excellent skills in interpreting financial performance of an entity and making specific recommendations for improvement in profitability.
• Strong attention to detail is required.
• Must be a self starter, motivated and a solution driven and proactive individual with sound leadership qualities and spirit of team work.
• Knowledge of international Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is important.
• Computer proficiency is essential, including advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
• Excellent written/oral communication skills are essential.
