"For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, the just shall live by faith" Romans 1:17.
Did people ever live by faith? Do you believe that men like Abraham and Moses lived by faith? The Bible says that by faith Moses refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, by faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear." Hebrews 11:1-2. Faith is stepping when there is no place to step.
Faith is the fundamental principle lived by men and servant of God in achieving success. The book of Hebrews chapter 11 has a detailed account of those who lived by faith and the result accounted to them. "But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him." Hebrews 11:6. To be able to please God we need faith, the believing mind that stick in trusting God to settle and make a way out in every step we take. It is a good thing to cliché/claim the blessings of Abraham. However, will you be ready to do what Abraham did that connects him with the supernatural for the outpouring of Gods blessings!
Hebrews 10:38 tells us, "Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul." Faith is a remarkable force that gives us the empowerment to accomplish the extraordinary or the seemingly impossible. How many examples of this remarkable empowerment of faith in action do you know or you have seen or experienced? There are many of this written in the bible performed by notable servant of God and even our Lord Jesus Christ. Our lives also is an act of faith at work.
God is concerned about you, but the trouble with most of us is that we're not willing to trust Him. We're not willing to put all our faith in Him. Philippians 4:19 says, "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
Faith is God in action on the battlefield, winning every battle and making real what Christ made possible. Faith is still just exactly like it was in the long ago. Moses led the children of Israel across the Red Sea on dry land; Daniel went in the lions' den and came out without a scratch; Shadrach, Mesheck and Abednego went in the fiery furnace and there was not one smell of smoke on them when they came out. Now, the question is, do you believe that the same God that protected them is our God today? Are you willing to step out by faith? The only thing God honours is faith and the only thing that will honour God is just faith.
In the journey of life, every air we breathe, every move we make, our profession of faith will always lead to demonstration of power in the spirit, as God will always respond to your profession and not your confession. He only honours those who honoured Him. Let’s focus on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Keep your eye on Him, looking unto Jesus, "who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:2. The way to live by faith is to look at Him who lived by faith and a closer walk with God.
Prayer
As we make up our minds to surrender all to Jesus and profess the faith of victory. The Lord will endow us with grace to always live by faith, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
Yours in Christ,
Emmanuel Mabogunje
